Jeep Wrangler HURRICANE PERFORMANCE Racing Catalytic Converter for JL 3.6 Engine

High-performance Metal Ceramic Catalytic Converter-

Type:

  • 200 High flow

What does it mean those numbers?

You might have a catalytic with a 2.5' or 3' inlet and outlet, but that does not make it a high flow. What makes a high flow catalytic is the number of cells per square inch.  A standard catalytic has 600+ cells per square inch,  But HURRICANE PERFORMANCE Real High Flow Metal Ceramic Catalytic have 200 Cells which makes each cell larger allowing more exhaust to flow through.  This gives a 35-40% flow improvement over a standard Catalytic

We Provide 1 Year Manufacture Warranty (Conditional Apply)

Why Aggressive Tuning Voids Your Warranty

While our catalytic converters are built to handle high thermal loads, aftermarket performance tuning alters factory engine parameters in ways that can rapidly destroy exhaust components. The primary causes of tune-related failure include:

  • Substrate Meltdown (Rich Air-Fuel Ratios): Performance tunes often dump excess fuel into the cylinders to maximize power or prevent knock. Unburnt fuel escapes the combustion chamber and ignites directly inside the catalytic converter. This drives internal temperatures past allowable temperature to, causing the internal honeycomb substrate to melt, collapse, and completely block exhaust flow.

  • Thermal & Mechanical Cracking ("Pop/Bang" or Burble Maps): Tunes designed to create deceleration crackles, pops, or burbles explicitly delay ignition timing to force explosions inside the exhaust manifold. The resulting shockwaves and intense localized heat spikes easily shatter ceramic or metallic catalyst structures.

Warranty Exclusions

Our warranty strictly covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. It does not cover failures caused by external engine malfunctions or modifications.

We will deny warranty claims if visual inspection, data logging, or internal physical analysis reveals any of the following:

  1. Melted or fused internal substrates (indicative of a rich fuel mixture or unburnt fuel ignition).

  2. Fractured, shattered, or loosened internal elements caused by mechanical impact or burble/pop tuning maps.

  3. Heavy carbon fouling, oil contamination, or chemical poisoning from excessive engine blow-by.

  4. Recommendation: To ensure the longevity of your new catalytic converter, we highly recommend running conservative, professionally calibrated engine maps, ensuring your PCV system is functioning perfectly, and avoiding aggressive deceleration fueling maps.
